We spend a lot of time with our puppies so that they are very well socialized. I am a “Great Dane only” breeder so we don’t breed other dogs. We register exclusively with AKC and all pups go home with a health guarantee. Our goal here is to produce healthy, happy Great Danes that have wonderful temperaments. I have learned through experience that Great Danes are one of the most loving, clingy, loyal, intelligent, humorous, and low-maintenance breed. Great Dane Information

Great Dane puppies are gentle, affectionate, and wonderful family companions. It is very rare to find an aggressive Great Dane. Occasionally, we encounter a pup that is more timid. With plenty of socialization, patience, and positive reinforcement, a shy puppy will grow into a confident and well-adjusted adult.
Puppies are enthusiastic eaters, and Great Danes are no exception. Monitoring their food intake and growth is crucial, as this giant breed is prone to bloat and obesity if overfed or exercised improperly after meals.
All puppies are clumsy, but with their rapid growth spurts and oversized paws, Great Dane puppies can be especially awkward. They often haven’t yet grown into their feet! Being mindful of slippery floors and stairs will help prevent injuries and keep your pup safe and happy.
Great Dane Love does not recommend leaving your Great Dane unsupervised around pools or other deep water. While some may enjoy swimming, their heavy build means they aren’t naturally graceful swimmers and can tire easily. Standard puppy-proofing is essential for any new puppy. Secure electrical cords, toxic household cleaners, and be mindful of countertops, as Danes can easily reach them as they grow. Stabilize heavy furniture to prevent accidents during play.
People often ask about Great Dane barking. While they have a deep, intimidating bark that makes them excellent watchdogs, Great Danes are generally not excessive barkers. They are more likely to alert you to something unusual than to bark without reason. However, because their bark is so loud and booming, it’s something to be mindful of, especially in close-quarter living situations.
